The Story of Jesus
and the Last Days

For centuries the Jewish people have anticipated and waited for a promised deliverer, a prophet known as the Messiah or "anointed one." They believed the Messiah would fulfill their ancient prophecies, and rescue them from their oppressors.

Nearly 2000 years ago, at 30 years of age, Jesus began his public teaching, gradually revealing that he was the Anointed One. He first traveled to the Jordan River to be baptized by John the Baptist, who had "prepared the way" for Jesus by calling people to repentence.

Jesus chose twelve disciples to travel with him throughout the land, teaching in temples, performing signs and wonders, miraculously healing the sick and preaching to the masses.

He spoke of a new covenant that God was bringing to both the Jews and Gentiles, one of foregiveness and mercy.

By the time Jesus was 33; his message had spread throughout the land. He was popular among his people and many were already acknowledging him as the Messiah.

At the same time Jesus was also making enemies among certain Jewish and Roman leaders who saw his power as a threat. According to the New Testament Gospels and other historical sources, some of these leaders conspired to have Jesus arrested, and he was condemned to death by the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate.

Christians believe that following His crucifixion, He arose from the dead on the third day, appeared to his disciples and many other followers, and ascended into heaven forty days later.

Today more than 2 billion Christians worldwide believe Jesus is the Son of God, whose sacrifice on the cross atoned for the sins of humanity. And that when Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit of God the Father and Jesus His Son would remain on earth (until the Great Tribulation) to bear witness of what we know through faith and believe God's Word through the scriptures provided for us today through the Holy Bible.

The bible is clear that in the last days no man would know the day or the hour of Jesus' physical return to earth as He promised in scripture. But, the Book of Revelations does note many signs must happen before Jesus returns.

What is Armageddon anyway?

Armageddon is actually a battle. According to the Bible it’s the battle where Jesus finally comes in and takes over the world and rules it His way. After Armageddon comes 1000 years of peace and plenty.

The reason it’s called Armageddon is because it is in a place called the valley of Megiddo in modern day Israel. Armageddon means mount of Megiddo in Hebrew.

How do you know what the Bible says will happen?

History has proven the unerring accuracy of Bible prophecy. Many secular events were foretold hundreds of years before they happened. Literally hundreds of prophecies in the Bible have already come to pass. So there's really no doubt about whether the prophecies dealing with the "Last Days" and the time preceding Jesus' coming and Armageddon will come to pass.

The only question is:
How do I prepare?

One of the purposes of Endtime Bible prophecy is to let you know what's going to happen in the future so that you won't be taken by surprise by these great events, so you can rest assured that it is all a part of God's pre-ordained plan.

The best way to be prepared for the future is to receive Jesus as your Savior, as He has promised to be with His children to protect & provide for them and be their Guide through perilous times. Jesus will give you the strength and courage to bravely face these future troubles and help you survive until the End of this world, after which He will reward you beyond your wildest dreams in the Heavenly world to come!

If you don't yet know Jesus then we'd like to invite you right now to receive his free gift of everlasting life by praying this simple prayer:

Dear Jesus,
Please come into my heart. Forgive me for my past mistakes & sins and give me your free gift of everlasting life. Help me to love You and help me to share your love & truth with others...
Amen.
